Object Condition
The panel has broken into several pieces, which probably explains why it was inserted in a frame, to keep these pieces together.
Provenance
Found in the ruins of the Collegiate Church, at Hastings Castle, in 1811; presented by Captain Grose to Sir William Burrell; given by him to Lord Chichester in 1811 (Dawson 1909).
